KIO Data Centers Surpasses $900 Million USD in Investment and Sets the Stage for a New Phase of Growth Through 2030

• During 2026, the company has already committed more than $200 million USD to new projects in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Queretaro, in addition to the $170 million USD investment in QRO2.
• Mexico ‘s Secretary of Economy awarded KIO Data Centers the “Hecho en México” distinction, recognizing its contribution to the development of strategic digital infrastructure in the country.

Queretaro, August 13, 2026. – KIO Data Centers has completed phases two and three of QRO2, bringing total investment to $170 million USD and further consolidating the growth of its Queretaro Mega Campus.

Additionally, during 2026, the company will invest more than $200 million USD in the development of new projects in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Queretaro to expand its capacity in response to growing demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and mission-critical applications.

During the same event, the company announced that it is evaluating a potential investment of up to $1.3 billion USD through 2030 to develop QRO3, a project that, with approximately 100 MW of capacity, could become the largest data center in KIO’s history. As part of the ceremony, Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, presented the company with the “Hecho en México” distinction, recognizing its contribution to the development of strategic digital infrastructure in the country.

KIO’s expansion strategy will also have a significant impact on the country’s economic development. By 2030, the company expects to support the creation of more than 8,100 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the development of specialized talent and supply chains associated with digital infrastructure.

Since I Squared Capital became a shareholder in 2022, KIO Data Centers has invested more than $900 million USD in Mexico and Latin America to strengthen its digital infrastructure platform and consolidate a network equipped to meet the demands of the region’s growing digital economy.

This will be an important new driver of economic growth, and Mexico will be part of it, as will all of North America, alongside the United States and Canada,” said Ebrard Casaubón.
